People and heights

Compare eye level, shoulders, and reach in one view

Compare two heights and choose from multiple hugging poses: front hug, back hug, side hug, waist hug, and light shoulder hold. Switch to either person's view to look left, right, up, or down from their eye height.

The HowHeight Hug Simulator shows where the top of each head, eyes, and shoulders line up. In Overview, height labels stay visible while you rotate the scene, so the two people remain easy to identify from every angle.

Watch the arms next. The hug simulator shows how each arm travels around the other person and where the hands meet. With a 10 cm gap, shoulder contact and hand position can shift even when the two heads appear close.

Use Front to compare the two heights. Use Side to check depth and overlap. Use Orbit to rotate and zoom around the pair. Switch to either person's view to look toward the other figure at eye level.

Quick start

How to use the Hug Simulator

Start with the default pair, or enter your own heights in Edit people.

  1. 01

    Open Edit people

Enter a name and height for each person. You can use centimeters or feet and inches, then choose Male or Female for the figure shape.

  2. 02

    Choose a hug

Choose a pose from Hug type. Your names and heights stay the same.

  3. 03

    Change the view

Use Front for the clearest height comparison, Side for depth, or Orbit to rotate and zoom. Choose either person's view to look around at their eye height.

  4. 04

    Share or save it

Share creates a link with the people, pose, and selected camera mode. Download current view saves the angle and framing you are looking at now.

Hug viewpoints

See the hug from either person's perspective

Switch between Overview and either person's view. These views use the model's eye height, with extra distance when needed to keep the partner visible.

  1. 01

    Overview: Front, Side, and Orbit

Overview shows both complete figures. Front is useful for comparing the height labels and overall pose; Side reveals depth and overlapping arms. Choose Orbit to rotate or zoom around the pair and find an angle for a drawing or PNG export.

  2. 02

    Person A's view

Look toward Person B from the first figure's eye height. Drag with a mouse or finger to look left, right, up, or down; arrow keys also work when the scene has focus. Your position stays fixed as you look around. Changing the person's height or the hug pose updates the view.

  3. 03

    Person B's view

Switch to the second figure to compare the same hug from the other eye level. The buttons use the names you enter in Edit people. In either participant view, your own figure is hidden so it does not block the camera; returning to Overview restores both complete figures.

About the model

The figures use simplified proportions. Real people vary in build, posture, and flexibility. Use the scene to compare heights and poses; it cannot tell you what will feel comfortable for two people.

Hug Simulator FAQ

Height units, pose settings, viewpoints, sharing, and downloads.

What is a Hug Simulator?

It is a two-person height comparison shown in a hug pose. Enter two heights and the hug simulator places both figures on one scale, showing head level, shoulders, reach, and spacing.

How does the Hug Simulator work?

Both heights are converted to one scale and both figures are grounded. The simulator then applies the selected hug and arm placement without changing the original height gap.

Can I use the Hug Simulator for height comparison?

Yes. The Hug Simulator keeps both figures on a shared scale. In Overview, Front and Side give the clearest scale reference; Orbit is useful for inspecting the shape of the pose.

What makes this a 3D Hug Simulator?

In Overview, you can move around the pair, zoom, and return to fixed Front or Side views. You can also choose Person A's view or Person B's view and drag to look around. Download current view saves the angle you chose rather than replacing it with a preset export.

How are the hands and posture adjusted?

The simple figures adapt arm placement to the pose and heights. When contact is out of reach, the arms relax rather than stretch.

Can I enter height in centimeters or feet and inches?

Yes. Switch units in Edit people. The displayed units change, but both heights stay the same.

Is this an AI image or video generator, or a game?

No. It is an interactive 3D height-and-pose reference. Enter names and heights, choose the figures and hug type, then move the camera yourself. No photos are uploaded, and no images or videos are generated by AI.

Can I share my hug scene?

Yes. The link carries the names, heights, hug type, closeness, edit state, and camera preset, including either person's view. It does not save every mouse-drag rotation or zoom position. To keep the exact frame, download a PNG instead.

Can I download the current view?

Yes. In Overview, rotate or zoom until the frame works, then choose Download current view. In a person's view, drag to look around instead. The saved image follows the camera you are looking through at that moment.

Is a Hug Simulator an exact prediction of a real pose?

No. Two people with the same heights can have different proportions, shoes, flexibility, posture, and preferences. Use the 3D hug simulator to understand scale, then adapt any real embrace for comfort and consent.
